Slough Jets are pleased to announce the capture of three players as welcome reinforcements just before the Christmas break. The Jets would like to welcome Christopher Beal, Jamie Joyce and Jay Ingoldsby.
Defender Chris Beal developed his ice hockey at Bracknell stingers icing 61 times while coming through the ranks before heading to Basingstoke where he appeared at all levels from NIHL 2 to EPL. Recently he has been plying his trade with Solent Devils in NIHL 1. At the young age of 20 and a wealth of experience Chris caught the eye of coach Milton with his defensive play and quick speed and his no nonsense style of play while under pressure.
Slough Jets are also pleased to announce forward Jamie Joyce. Again a product of the Bracknell Junior system Jamie’s quick hands and great speed proved he had a talent for goals as in 50 games he produced 30 goals and 44 assists with only 18 pim. He then headed to Basingstoke buffalo where he played 17 games scoring 11 goals and 15 assists, Jamie impressed Coach Milton when he trialed and showed great promise with good upper body strength and a eye for goal.
Finally Slough Jets would like to announce the signing of Jay Ingoldsby a player who is comfortable playing in defense and going forward. A Basingstoke Junior who played Under 16 and 18 a total of 81 times scoring 21 goals with 14 assists before heading to South Wales for university and play for Cardiff Redhawks where in 60 games he got 17 goals and 18 assists.
Coach Milton stated on the 3 signings, “We needed some fresh blood in the squad as we have had a very up and down start to our season, These guys should bring a bit more experience and stability to the Jets”.
GM Steve English quoted ” these guys are full of energy and raring to go, We need numbers on the board and support in front of net and i know this will aid us through out the rest of the season” .
